# My Current Podcast Listening
*updated 23 August 2025*
**The 'A' list** - the podcasts I pretty much listen to without fail:
1. **Oh God, what now?** - a British view on politics from the left-of-centre, with a very 'remain' ancestry.
2. **Question Everything** - the quite excellent look at the state and future of journalism in the US, hosted by Brian Reed (This American Life and S-Town).
**The 'B' List** - where I listen to most episodes:
1. **Today in Focus**: from The Guardian. A mix of breaking news stories (which I find less interesting) and current affairs.
2. **Politics Weekly UK** from The Guardian. John Harris's weekly round-up of politics from a distinctly left-of-centre perspective and Westminster reporting from Pippa Crerar and Kiran Stacey.
3. **Science Weekly**, from The Guardian.
4. **The Tip Off**: an excellent UK pod where each episode deep dives into a news story from the journalist's point of view. It seems to be on an extended break.
**Recent limited run listening**
1. **Girl in Space**: wonderful sci-fi escapism created by Sarah Rhea Werner.
2. **Shadow World: The People vs McDonald's** presented by Mark Steele. (BBC)
3. **Fed with Chris van Tulleken: Planet Chicken**: All you wanted to know, and slightly more, about the life of the industrially produced broiler chicken! (BBC)
Are there any you'd recommend?
